The 17th issue of “History and Culture of Japan” includes works by leading contemporary Russian Japanologists and young scientists on the history and culture of Japan from the mid-19th century to the present day. The scientific community is presented with new materials from Russian and foreign archives, translations of sources, studies of a number of texts of Japanese philosophy, literature, and art.
