HSE Publishing House would like to congratulate Anatoly Vishnevsky, HSE Tenured Professor, Director of HSE Institute of Demography, and one of our authors, on winning the Yegor Gaidar Award for outstanding contribution to developing economic thought in Russia. The awards ceremony took place on November 12th, 2015, in Moscow.

Anatoly Vishnevsky has published over 400 research works, including 40 books as author and co-author, 10 of which have been published by the HSE Publishing House. They have become established classics of demographics. Sickle and Ruble: Conservative Modernization in the USSR, a book on Russian social history, published by HSE Publishing House in 2010, has also been released in France, Germany, and the USA.
