On November 23, 2019 the 51st Annual Convention of the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian studies (ASEEES) took place in San Francisco (CA, USA), bringing together over 2,500 researchers from around the world. 2019 ASEEES Convention Theme: "Belief".

The Opening Reception and Exhibit Hall Tour is a traditional feature of this conference. This year, over 60 publishing houses and book distributors from the USA, the UK, Russia, France, Germany, and Italy presented their products at the convention.

The HSE Publishing House has taken part in the exhibition, and produced a new catalogue of books it publishes that are available in English for the event. 

One of the core activities of the Association is the annual convention. Held in the fall, the convention takes place each year in a different city in North America. This international forum makes possible a broad exchange of information and ideas, stimulating further work and sustaining the intellectual vitality of the field.
