From the 23th to the 27^th of August 2017, Beijing hosted the 24^th International Book Fair in which The Higher School of Economics Publishing House also took part. The Russian exhibition stand traditionally designed in the national colours presented new titlesfrom the Russian publishing industry such as new editions of Russian classics, books by modern Russian authors, literature on humanities, children’s and youth literature, and new titles from modern Russian sinology. The Higher School of Economics Publishing House also presented its new titles and bestsellers.

The stand was conveniently placed in one of the central avenues of the pavilion E. The events schedule as well as documentaries about Russia were being shown on a large plasma display.

The programme of the Russian stand included meetings with authors, presentations, discussions, and other activities.

On the last day of the exhibition’s work Russian songs were performed by a Chinese musical band. The visitors had an opportunity to memorize some Russian songs to which they took a liking.

After the fair the books were donated to the Embassy of the Russian Federation.
