Visitors to the Russian stand could find out more about the output of over 30 publishing houses, including Eksmo, Vremya, Rudomino Book Centre, ROSSPEN, Tekst, BSG Press, OGI, Parad, and others.

Russian universities were represented by the HSE Publishing House, which offered international readers the chance to have a look at books by Russian authors in economics, philosophy, sociology, and cultural studies. After the exhibition, the books were presented to the Russian Embassy in the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Andorra.

Russia’s presence at the exhibition is especially important during the Bilateral Year of Russian Language and Literature in Spain and Spanish Language and Literature in Russia, which started in the middle of this year and will run for 12 months.

Russian participation in LIBER 2015 is part of the Read Russia state programme aiming at promoting Russian literature and publishing internationally. The programme has been initiated by and is carried out with the financial support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications.
