Course Syllabus

Abstract

Scientific research has to be based on academic literature review. The course has two objectives - to teach how to (1) find relevant scholarly sources available at HSE University in print or online; (2) evaluate sources to select those that are most recognized, published in leading sociological journals and have a weight in international scholarship. Additionally, science is itself a sociological discipline and its characteristics are discussed.
