Course Syllabus
Abstract
These academic course sessions are designed as advanced training related to international transactions to understand the interplay between international law and corporate finance effectively. These sessions comprise three parts. In the introductory part, students can intensively refresh their knowledge of International Private Law, Corporate Law and Enterprise Law concepts, identify interconnection with corporate finance, and gain advanced terms and definitions used in the course. During the second part, course participants should clarify the origination, structuring and execution of International Transactions in the corporate, investment and lease/trade fields, including the case study method approach. Finally, the last part of the course is dedicated to presenting and discussing the draft of the relevant agreements for International Transactions, prepared by the students.Pre-requisites: •International Economic Law
Learning Objectives
- The main purpose of the course is to train students’ abilities to carry out their own analytical and research projects in the subject field related to International Transactions.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Knows sources of law applicable to International Transactions; the scope of application and content of the main legislative acts and case law related to International Transactions; main approaches to the key issues of International Transactions; particularities of application of the implementation of underlying agreements for International Transactions at the national level.
- Can to use specific terms of International Transactions; has practical abilities to undertake analysis of legal issues and writings for International Transactions; knows how to analyse and solve cases, establish legal positions and compose documents on cases in the field of International Transactions.
- Can to work with information (search, evaluate, and use information, necessary for the fulfilment of professional tasks, from various sources, including the application of the systematic approach).
- Can to search, analyse and work with legally relevant information by using juridical and other specific methods.
- Can to describe legal problems and situations in the field of International Transactions.

Assessment Elements
- ProjectWritten paper (drafting of the special type agreement): Work in small teams; Length: 10,000 - 12,000 words; Detailed requirements for the written papers will be sent to students in advance.
- ExamForm of the exam: oral in the form of an interview on the whole syllabus without the preparation time.
