Abstract
Media ecosystems are combinations of print, visual, broadcast, digital, and social media that act together to form a complex information environment which provides a substantial ground for research and studies for third year International Relations students. The objective of the course is to introduce to the students the theories and practical use of media "chemistry" with a special focus on political, social, behavioral and moral aspects of media activity and its influence over society. The course also acquaints students not only with the elementary concepts of media and communication tools, but also with the skills in media practices such as composing media releases, holding press briefings, dealing with journalists, summarizing proposals of civil groups at international events.
