Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course develops foreign language communicative competence required for professional activity in the field of religious diplomacy and international interfaith cooperation. Students master the terminology of the diplomatic sphere and the religious vocabulary of the main confessions, the genres of diplomatic correspondence, the skills of translating official documents and delivering public speeches. Instruction is based on authentic materials of international organizations and religious institutions. The course ensures linguistic readiness for professional work in an interconfessional and international environment. Course Objective The aim of the course is to develop the foreign language communicative competence necessary for professional activity in the field of religious diplomacy and international interfaith cooperation.
