Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course is designed to develop skills in quantitative data processing in Python without delving into mathematical foundations and statistical theory. While elements of statistical theory are used in this course, the emphasis is on data preparation procedures (data cleaning, filtering, grouping, aggregation, and visualization elements), as well as the use and interpretation of correlation coefficients and regression (linear and logistic) – the most widely used data analysis tools in the social sciences.
