Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course consists of the topics linked with the problems of constructive communication, resolving conflicts, mastering skills for reaching common language with people from different scientific fields, etc. Moreover, it includes a deepened insight into advanced vocabulary connected with the topics in order to ameliorate students’ communication skills in English.
Learning Objectives
- 1. The subject aims at delivery of knowledge of the basics of communication skills in scientific sphere. 2. By the end of the course the students are able to easily build communication within the scientific society, using specific terms and phrases for making speeches for conferences.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- The students shall have a basic understanding about the key security challenges of the 21st century and knowledge to identify the emerging challenges too.
- To develop systematically an argument giving the reasons for or against a point of view.

- Theme 10: Language. English language as a Global Language.
- Theme 11: Discourse in general. Scientific discourse (further SD) and its specific features
