Abstract

The current level of economic development, particularly in the chemical production sector, requires specialists in chemistry to possess multidisciplinary knowledge in finance, management, logistics, commerce, and marketing for successful operation. The course focuses on studying relevant issues that will help students understand the fundamentals of business management in the chemical industry. It covers the basics of financial and managerial activities with real-life examples from the chemical industry. Upon completing the course, students will gain knowledge in business and financial planning, organization of industry-oriented research, modern approaches to organizing and managing chemical production, and specifics of commercial departments in chemical industry enterprises.

Learning Objectives

• To understand the process of implementing technological innovations in production; • To learn the basics of business and financial planning for chemical industry enterprises; • To familiarize yourself with the basics of taxation and budgeting; • Acquire knowledge about the main types and principles of automated management systems in corporations; • Learn how material flows are organized in a chemical company; • Become aware of career opportunities in the chemical industry.
