Course Syllabus

Abstract

Psychology is becoming more of an interdisciplinary topic every year, and this master’s program is embracing that change. This course is intended to provide a knowledge at a theoretical and practical level of topics in psychology with a particular focus in research. During the first module, theories that aim to explain the basic cognitive process and some applied topics in Psychology will be reviewed stressing the most used research methods on each area. The second module is mainly focused in hands-on sessions in which the student will get basic knowledge and also practice with several research tools for designing and conducting experiments (e.g., OpenSesame, E-prime, PsychoPy, etc). This academical year 2023/24, module 1 will be taught by Beatriz Martín-Luengo, senior research fellow. Module 2 will be taught by senior research fellow Vladimir Kosonogov.
