Abstract
The course “English for scientific communication” is taken in the second year of the master’s programme. It touches upon not only the general problems of communication itself, but also the specifics of scientific discourse. A well-bult communication consists of several parts, such as active listening, being specific, non-verbal communication, I-statements etc. All the constituents of constructive communication are to be followed, thus helping the interlocutors achieve their goals. Scientific discourse as any type of discourse in general has its distinguished features like participants, linguistic terms, specific grammar structures etc. All these details are essential for scientific constructive communication.
