Course Syllabus

Abstract

As a result of studying the discipline, students should know: basic concepts, categories, institutions of public law of several BRICS countries and some Western jurisdictions; specifics of social relations in foreign countries, regulated by the norms of public law; constitutional regulation of the status of the individual, constitutional principles of economic, social, political systems of society; peculiarities of formation, development and existence of the main legal families; state-territorial structure and the existing models of organisation and functioning of the public law in foreign countries, the state-territorial structure and existing models of organisation and functioning of the system of supreme and local bodies, of state power and administration in a number of foreign countries. The course also covers a general understanding of constitution and state theory, providing students with the conceptual tools to make comparisons between different systems. As a result, students will gain an in-depth knowledge of the methods of comparative constitutional law. Recommended knowledge of the general theory of state and law, history of the national State and law, history of state and law of foreign countries, constitutional, administrative, financial law.
