Abstract
The course is intended for third-year undergraduate students studying in the field of Cognitive Neuroscience. The purpose of the Neuroengineering course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and applications of neuroengineering in the field of neuroscience. The course covers topics such as methods and principles of genetic engineering, mechanisms of gene transfer in human research and clinical applications, tools based on cellular technologies in neurology and cell therapy for nervous disorders, drug delivery and the blood-brain barrier, the use of biomaterials in therapy and brain sensing, as well as in in vitro brain tissue engineering. The curriculum includes the latest scientific publications on advances in neuroengineering and their impact on neuroscience research.
