Abstract
The course is designed for third-year undergraduate students majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience. The goal of the "Neuroengineering" course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and applications of neuroengineering in neuroscience. It covers topics such as cell-based methods, principles, and tools in neuroscience and cell therapy for neural disorders; the creation of tissue-engineered constructs, neuroimplants, and neurostimulators; drug delivery and the blood-brain barrier; the use of biomaterials in therapeutics and brain sensing; and in vitro brain tissue engineering. The curriculum includes the latest scientific publications on advances in neuroengineering and their impact on neuroscience research.
Learning Objectives
- The primary objective of the course is to familiarize students with the latest advances in neuroengineering, including cellular technologies, engineering approaches for regeneration and medicine, as well as methods for drug delivery to neural tissue.
