Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course ‘Contemporary Issues of International Economic Law’ covers selected key and most challenging topics of the International economic law (IEL) such as system of IEL principles, economic coercion in International law and economic sanctions, jurisdiction of states, State immunity, protection of environment, interrelation of international economic law and human rights, regionalization of global economy, formation of mega trade-blocks, etc. Students are expected to research and engage in interactive discussions with professors and among themselves about main regulatory trends forming contemporary IEL, understand influence of different economic and political factors on international norms creation process, identify main controversies of IEL existing regulation.
