Abstract
This course of lectures and seminars is aimed at providing students with an understanding of the main global and regional problems that Russia faces and has to participate in solving them in the context of increasing relations of Russia with the East due to increasing Western pressure on our country to weaken its economy and military potential. This is also a general trend towards the creation of a multipolar world designed to replace the global hegemony of the United States based on its allies.
In addition to attempts to reform the entire UN system, which is outdated and does not meet the new balance of power in favor of the East, and the formation of new global and regional structures uniting countries dissatisfied with the efforts of the United States and the West as a whole to maintain global dominance, the lectures review Russia's steps to enhance cooperation with Asian and African countries, strengthen its political and economic and military presence in the regions of the Middle East, the African Sahel, the Asia-Pacific region, etc.
An overview is given of the main regional conflicts in which Russian diplomacy is involved. The main aspects, features and indicators of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with Russia's main partner countries in Asia and Africa are considered in detail, as well as trends in the development of relations with them in the current conditions and in comparison with our competitors in the United States, the EU, Turkey, China, etc.
Special attention is paid to the study of such issues as currently Russia's national interests in the East are directly affected by the struggle for gas markets and international transport corridors. In addition, a comparative analysis of the sanctions imposed against Russia is given, with sanctions restrictions against such oriental countries as Iraq, Iran, Libya and some otherAfrican countries.
