The overall purpose of the book is to demonstrate the importance of cyclical model for the explanation of constitutional changes. The mechanism of cyclicity is examined, as well as its manifestations at the times of radical constitutional crisis. The focus of the study is on the correlation of political and juridical parameters determining the progress of contemporary constitutional process. Legislative acts, sociological data and international literature are employed in the analysis of the international and Russian experience. The book focuses on the areas of conflicting dynamics of modern constitutional process, the theory and practice of constitutionalism in western democratic countries and in transient societies, as well as their ties with political regime, with relations between authority and property, and with social psychology stereotypes.
