About

The monograph continues a series of publications of the Centre for Labor Market Studies at HSE dedicated to the “Russian Model of Labor Market” presenting a complex analysis of wage formation in post-Soviet Russia. The dynamics of labor force cost is examined and the peculiarities of institutional mechanisms of wage composition in Russian economy are revealed. Various aspects of wage differentiation are particularly analyzed in detail: between men and women; between employees of budget and commercial sectors; different education levels; residents of different regions; different professions; employees with unequal job contracts. Differentiation is analyzed with the use of modern econometric approaches and the use of huge blocks of micro-data.

Addressed to economists and sociologists, experts in the field of labor relations and social
policy.
