Course Syllabus
Abstract
This course introduces students to the field of public policy. The course examines how public policies are developed, implemented and assessed. In particular, it focuses on problems of policy continuity and change, policy actors, policy ideas, policy design, policy capacity, policy failure and policy effectiveness. This is done through exploring major public policy theories and eventually applying these frameworks to various local and global policymaking issues.
Learning Objectives
- The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with the best existing practices, regulatory and methodological foundations for the application of new public administration technologies, study the main theories and modern models of public administration, as well as develop in students the necessary competencies for the practical use of new approaches in the field of public administration.
