Course Syllabus
Abstract
Studying Jurisprudence students will learn to reflect in a critical way on the functions and meaning of legal systems and legal institutions. We will discuss relation between law and politics, economy and morality. The course content will cover most common problems in the legal theory and practice to develop a wider comprehension of the nature and working of law.
Learning Objectives
- • The primary aim of the course is to form a complete understanding of approaches toward research on law within a comparative perspective and ability to resolve typical legal conflicts and to prepare legal documents.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- to identify problems and conflicts which can be resolved through legal means
- determine the legal rights and obligations in a given situation and be able to implement (protect) them
- to minimize the adverse effects of conflicts through the use of legal means
- be able to search for up-to-date information about legal norms
- know when and how to get professional legal assistance
- know how to protect your rights with the help of the legal system, and understand when legal remedies have been exhausted

Assessment Elements
- Seminar ActivityIf there is a legitimate reason, missed seminars will not be taken into consideration in the final grade.
- Essay
- ExamThe student must come to the exam at the time specified in the schedule, or more precisely set by the teacher. In the case of remote examination, the student must connect to a videoconference or take part in the exam in another way agreed with the teacher at the time specified in the schedule or more precisely set by the teacher. If the student is late for the exam, the time allotted for the exam may be extended at the discretion of the teacher. Exam results are announced to students no later than five working days after the end of the session.
