Course Syllabus

Abstract

During this course, students will become familiar with the theoretical foundations and key methods of the following topics: matrices, systems of linear equations, matrix inversion and determinants, pseudoinverse matrices, normal pseudosolutions of systems of equations, and linear programming problems. Knowledge of the basic topics of linear algebra is essential for further study of modern methods of data processing and analysis, economic-mathematical models, and is also used in other economic and mathematical disciplines.
Learning Objectives

Learning Objectives

  • To ensure that students master the theoretical foundations, basic results, and theorems of linear algebra, as well as the fundamental mathematical techniques and rules for solving various mathematical problems based on their acquired theoretical knowledge.
  • To develop students' skills in solving typical problems that facilitate the mastery of basic concepts, as well as problems that contribute to the development of basic scientific research skills.
  • To develop the ability to think logically, manipulate abstract objects, and correctly use mathematical concepts and symbols to express quantitative and qualitative relationships.
  • To prepare students to work with economic theory models and data analysis.
