Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course «Digital Finance and FinTech» provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how digital technologies are transforming global financial markets and services. The course has a strong practical orientation and introduces the fundamental concepts of digital finance applied to international business contexts: the architecture of FinTech ecosystems, digital payments and remittances, blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi), digital banking. Special attention is given to the global regulatory landscape, cross-border data flows, and the strategic implications of FinTech for multinational corporations. The course is designed for students preparing for careers in international business development, corporate strategy, global product management, consulting, and entrepreneurship. It builds competencies in analyzing digital financial business models, evaluating FinTech investment opportunities, and formulating strategies for FinTech adoption, partnership, or competition in global markets. The course serves as a foundation for further study of international financial management, global innovation strategy, and digital transformation.
