Course Syllabus

Abstract

This curriculum establishes minimum requirements for the student's knowledge and skills and defines the content and types of training sessions and reporting. The program is intended for teachers leading this discipline, teaching assistants and students of the direction 38.03.02 Management, studying the discipline "Logistics and supply chain management". During the course of studying the discipline, students get acquainted with the main processes in logistics and supply chain management, as well as study their features in various business areas. The program was developed in accordance with: • The educational standard of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "National Research University Higher School of Economics", in respect of which the category "National Research University" is established, in the direction of bachelor's degree 38.03.02 Management.

  • Formation of students' basic understanding of the basic concepts and laws of logistics and supply chain management, as well as their place and role in the enterprise management system.

  • To analyze the impact of quantitative (TCO) and qualitative factors on the 'make or buy' decision process in logistics
  • To list the main objectives of warehouse and transportation management, linking them with the overall goals and objectives of logistics management at the enterprise
  • Explains the main ways of managing returns from the end user and in the supply chain
  • To conduct an object and process decomposition of a logistics system, draw a diagram of a logistics network and system with different flows and processes
  • To identify supply, production and distribution subsystems in a diagram of a logistics network or system
  • Defines the approaches to creating company's supply chain and logistics strategies
  • Identifies key business processes in supply chains using basic process models (GSCF, SCOR)
  • Applies inventory management tools to improve efficiency (ABC, XYZ analysis, EOQ model and so on)
  • To explain how to synchronize plans in a company and supply chain using different planning technologies (MRP, S&OP, CPFR, VMI)
  • Select digital technologies and means of information support for processes in logistics and SCM, based on business objectives and constraints

    Attendance of classes
  • non-blocking Seminars tasks
    Completion of assignments in the seminars according to the established criteria. It is also possible to complete small assignments after the seminars on the seminar topic.
  • non-blocking Homework
    Completion of homework assignments according to the given criteria. Homework assignments can be individual and team assignments. AI is prohibited unless otherwise stated
  • blocking Exam
    The exam is held in the computer class at a designated time. Questions are posted in SmartLMS, which must be accessed by the student from a work computer (in the computer class) using the SafeExam browser. This is a blocking exam. Receiving a failing grade on the exam means receiving a failing grade for the course, even if the accumulated grade is sufficient. A calculator and one A5 sheet of paper with handwritten formulas are permitted. The use of AI is prohibited.
