Abstract

The discipline refers to the variable educational tracks offered to students of the curricula for Bachelor's and Specialist's degrees of choice while mastering the optional course of English in accordance with the Concept of Development of Foreign-language Communicative Competence of HSE Students. The course is designed for Bachelor's students mastering English within a Management curriculum. Besides reading and watching authentic content that has not been adapted for non-native speakers, the students get engaged in research, pair- and group-work to investigate the world of business and practice communication skills that are vital for entrepreneurs and managers. Students who successfully complete the program will be ready to take Linguatest. The course ongoing control types include graph decsriptions, reports, vocabulary and grammar quizzes, reading and listening tests, presentations, discussions and dialogues.
