Course Syllabus
Abstract
The mentor's seminar is aimed at forming an individual learning trajectory and individual educational results for each student of the trajectory. The mentor defines a list of key educational outcomes that all students of the educational trajectory should achieve. The seminar can have the format of a standard traditional discipline and a tutor format that provides consultations on scientific papers/projects. At the same time, it is possible to use an asynchronous communication format.
Learning Objectives
- • To acquaint the students with the typical and fundamental features of the political-philosophical way of viewing of politics in its juxtaposition with the political-scientific approach to it.
- • To provide the students with the knowledge of the major streams of political-philosophical thought (classifying them ideologically as liberal, conservative and left-radical) and with the peculiarities of their respective approaches to politics.
- • To develop the students’ skills of applying the methodology(ies) of political philosophy to the analysis of the “real-world” phenomena.
- • To boost the students’ mastery of the techniques and strategies of making presentations and participating in public debates as well as to augment their the oratory skills.
Expected Learning Outcomes

- Part IV. Presenting and Discussing the Master’s Theses’ Synopses.
