Course Syllabus
Abstract
This course introduces students to the basics of law theory, which enables comprehensive understanding of the role of law as a social regulator in the era of digital transformation. It also explores the relationship between law and technology with a strong focus on the law of the Russian Federation, European Union and the United States.
Learning Objectives
- Students will learn fundamentals of the theory of law, general legal challenges of IT sphere, privacy as legal concept, main legal acts regulating data protection, IP issues in the digital era, legal status of AI
Expected Learning Outcomes
- Students know basic principles of law theory, tendencies of law development in the digital era, tendencies of IP law regulation
