Abstract

This course is part of the curriculum for the "Corporate Finance" Master's program; it combines up-to-date knowledge regarding the legal framework, technological infrastructure, and practical mechanisms for the issuance and circulation of Digital Financial Assets (DFAs) with an analysis of real-world case studies from leading market participants. Students will explore the principles of asset tokenization, capital-raising models utilizing DFAs, and digital investment and credit instruments, while also learning to evaluate the potential applications of digital financial assets for businesses and investors. Particular attention is paid to the practical experience of major players in the digital asset market—including Sber, Alfa-Bank, Severstal, and other companies implementing projects in tokenization and digital finance. The program develops competencies in areas such as asset tokenization; interaction among digital financial asset (DFA) market participants; the issuance, placement, and circulation of DFAs; DFA-based investment and credit products; the application of blockchain and smart contracts in the financial sector; and digital asset regulation and risk management. Students will be prepared for work in the following areas: • operations in the digital financial asset market; • investment activities and capital management; • raising finance; • digital transformation of the financial sector; • banking and financial technologies; • platforms for the issuance and circulation of digital assets; • consulting in digital finance and blockchain technologies.
