Course Syllabus
Abstract
This course integrates theory and practice to prepare humanities students for their internship and junior roles in modern public and private organizations at the beginning of the career. It adopts a blended approach – combining lectures with interactive seminars, case studies, role-plays, and group projects. Students will learn concepts from business ethics, corporate governance and management, along with practical skills in communication, teamwork, project management, and self-organization. Seminars follow best practices and skill-oriented approaches by using case-based discussions and varied activities (debates, simulations, group work).
Learning Objectives
- To develop, systematize and practice skills that are vital for starting an internship or a junior position in modern public and private organization To conceptualize and operationalize the fundamental ethical, communicational and managerial principles in studies and work routines To effectively align an organization's ethical values and managerial principles with strategic goals in the process of teamwork and leadership
Expected Learning Outcomes
- To be able to apply skills necessary for starting an internship or a junior position in modern public and private organization
- To be able to communicate, organize work, manage tasks and integrate within a teamwork responsibly, with due efficiency and in accordance with ethical principles
