Course Syllabus
Abstract
The discipline is designed to develop/deepen the skills of applied regional studies and turnkey research in order to publish the results and successfully defend the dissertations of the MA students. Independent research skills will be developed, methodological competencies will be formed and consolidated. The work at the Research Seminar assumes the central role of the student and is organized as a joint discussion of interim research results. During the three modules, the consulting support of young researchers will be provided in the most effective way
Learning Objectives

- Academic W & Pub. Introduction. How we will work in this course. Good research paper and good research question. Dos and don’ts
- From research questions/problems to paper titles. RQ to MQ (methodological questions). AI in research for A-level publishing.
- Writing and Publishing technology (where, how much, how).
Assessment Elements
- Good research paper and good research questionActive class discussion participation and 5-minute presentations about the research subject and 3 research questions/problems you can see within your research subject, followed by feedback from peers
- From research questions/problems to methodological questions. AI in researchYou will think about the next stage of research: how to follow from research questions to methodology. Before that, we will discuss the paradigms in IR and AI assistance for particular research tasks.
- Writing and publishing technology (where, how much, how).Students prepare a draft of a paper ready to be sent to a journal
