Course Syllabus

Abstract

World Financial Markets provides a systematic introduction to the architecture and functioning of the global financial system. The course is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the international financial markets as an integrated entity encompassing foreign exchange, money, credit, and equity segments. The curriculum examines key institutions (global commercial and investment banks, central banks, international financial organizations, multinational corporations), instruments (bonds, equities, derivatives), and regulatory frameworks that shape capital flows in the modern economy. Special emphasis is placed on the analysis of interest rates, exchange rates, and cross-border capital movements.
