Course Syllabus
Abstract
Students learn the language starting with the Elementary level. The course aims at developing basic communicative competences in the chosen foreign language that include: communicative competence, language competence, socio-cultural competence, cognitive competence.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the general meaning of a variety of very basic authentic cultural texts and materials.
- Exchange greetings, introduce yourself to native speakers of Persian by conversing where you are from, who members of your family are, what career interests you have, how to purchase an item, how to go to a place, how to order food in a restaurant.
- Respond to simple, direct questions or request information.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- translate professionally-oriented information from a foreign language into Russian and from Russian to a foreign language
- - Different language skills useful in business communication (listening, reading, speaking).
- - Know how to use language skills to get necessary information from various sources;
- - Developing skills to express thoughts and opinions in interpersonal and business communication in a foreign language.
- - to use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
- have developed an insight into Persian-speaking life, culture and society
- be able to communicate in very basic everyday-life situations, including greetings, daily activities, finding your way, telling the time and date, making simple purchases, ordering a meal, etc
