Abstract

Global Area Studies is about History, Geography, Economics, Politics, Culture, Language, People and more. But this course is not a classic version of regional studies in the intersection of international relations or economic geography. Certainly, we are going to talk about different “regions”, “countries”, “places” and “different people”. But to approach (or get closer) to the concept of the world order we are going to concentrate on the analysis of three aspects: “cultural codes”, “money” and “institutions”.
