Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course explores the business ecosystem of India by integrating economic, institutional, planning, structural, and technological aspects. The course consists of lectures that cover several subtopics related to the latest developments and assessments in the academic and industrial world. It also includes seminars that cover all the practical aspects of the course. The course provides students with an analytical understanding of how businesses operate in India, how the government and markets interact, and how firms are responding to the globalization and digital transformation of this new era. The course combines theory, institutional analysis, and applied research on specific situations when necessary.

  • 1 By the end of the course, students will be able to analyse India as a business destination using economic and institutional indicators under paramount indexes. It will comparatively enable them to assess Indian business houses with global corporate models
  • 2 They will critically evaluate branding and marketing strategies in India with transformative potential of newer ways to revolutionise businesses.
  • 3 The students will understand government–business engagement mechanisms and will assess opportunities risks arising from digital transformation in recent decades. Students will be capable enough to apply conceptual knowledge to real-world Indian business cases at the end of this course.

    The assessment will use the hybrid assessment model includes some elements of Automatic Grading System (AGS) and others from Student Quality Assessment (SQA). It will drive them to focus on regular classes as well as developing their own understanding of topic taught in the whole duration of course.
