Assessment Elements

Assessment Elements

  • non-blocking Participation
Active participation is expected from all students and forms an essential part of the course assessment. Active participation means being prepared to discuss assigned materials, respond thoughtfully to questions, and contribute relevant comments during lectures and seminars. Students are encouraged to share their perspectives, link theory to real-world examples, and engage constructively with their peers’ contributions.
  • non-blocking Group case analysis
This assignment develops students’ ability to critically apply management concepts and technologies to real-world situations. Working in teams, students will analyze a selected case study or article related to one of the course topics, integrating theoretical frameworks from lectures with practical insights from the case.
  • non-blocking Mini-tests
Mini-tests are short, in-class assessments designed to check students’ understanding of the material covered in lectures, seminars, and assigned readings. They consist of 10 multiple-choice questions and take 10 minutes to complete.
  • non-blocking Essay
The essay is an individual written work that allows students to explore in depth a specific aspect of 21st-century management, connecting theoretical concepts with practical business applications. It develops skills in academic research, critical thinking, structured argumentation, and professional writing. Students are required to prepare an original research essay and must consult with the instructor in advance to choose and approve their paper topics. The final paper should be 15 pages in length (12 font size, typed, 1.5-spaced), excluding the list of sources, cover page, and any appendices. It should be submitted by email at the last class session. The paper must clearly identify the research question to be addressed, explain its relevance to the objectives of the International Management course, and present a coherent, well-supported analysis. All information, data, and ideas obtained from other sources must be properly cited using either APA or GOST citation standards, and fully referenced in the bibliography. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. If Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are used in preparing the essay, this must be explicitly stated in the paper. The declaration should specify which AI tool was used and for what specific purpose (e.g., language editing, idea generation, data visualization, literature search assistance). Failure to disclose AI use will be treated as a violation of academic integrity.
