Abstract
This course provides an in-depth exploration of the key concepts, challenges, and practices involved in managing organizations across national borders. Emphasizing the intersection of culture, strategy, and organizational behavior, the course examines how global managers navigate cultural differences, develop effective international strategies, and lead diverse teams in dynamic global environments. Students will engage with topics such as cross-cultural leadership, comparative management systems, international strategic planning, global human resource management, communication and negotiation across cultures, and ethical decision-making in an international context. Special attention is given to emerging markets, institutional diversity, and the role of cultural intelligence in shaping managerial effectiveness. Combining theoretical frameworks with real-world case studies and experiential learning, the course is designed to develop the strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and intercultural competencies necessary for success in international business and management roles.
