Course Syllabus

Abstract

Today, Shakespeare is a global phenomenon: more than five centuries after his death, his legacy continues to flourish. New productions, adaptations, and interpretations of his plays emerge around the world in different languages and media formats. This course focuses on an in-depth study of Shakespeare's verbal and theatrical language, as well as a critical analysis of the structural and dramatic qualities of his plays.
