Course Syllabus
Learning Objectives
- To equip students with the knowledge and analytical skills to formulate and execute effective global strategies. The course aims to achieve this by examining the core drivers of internationalization, the strategic choices firms face regarding industry positioning, resource allocation, and market entry, and the critical role of ethics and legitimacy in global operations, all applied through case studies and a final strategic analysis project.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- know and understand specific feature of global strategies
- apply strategic planning techniques and tools for strategic analysis including templates
- conduct a strategic analysis in a global stetting
- take a holistic approach to the application of analytical templates and other techniques
- obtain and analyze information, which will aid decision-making
- analyze cases which approximates closely to the rapid analysis of global business situations
- think through cause-effect relationships and to assess critically common management principles
