Course Syllabus

Abstract

The mentor's seminar is aimed at forming an individual learning trajectory and individual educational results for each student of the trajectory. The mentor defines a list of key educational outcomes that all students of the educational trajectory should achieve. The seminar can have the format of a standard traditional discipline and a tutor format that provides consultations on scientific papers/projects. At the same time, it is possible to use an asynchronous communication format.

Assessment Elements

Assessment Elements

  • non-blocking Discussion of the topic of term paper
    Students present their plans for the forthcoming term paper: motives of choice, preliminary hypotheses (research questions), literature, empirical base (if applicable) and receive comments and questions from the tutor
  • non-blocking Discussion of research proposal
    A prelimanary discussion of the forthcoming term paper, helping the student to prepare his/her presentation at the pre-defense at research seminar
  • non-blocking Preparation for defense of the term paper
    Presentation of an almost ready term paper for evaluation by tutor and peers.
