Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course aims to familiarize students with the modern scientific concept of critical thinking. Critical thinking is one of the most important skills for successful professional realization in almost any industry. At the applied level, the concept of critical thinking involves the development of such complex cognitive skills as: logical thinking, critical information analysis skills, learning ability, decision making, complex problem solving, argumentation and persuasion, creative thinking (creativity), hypothesis building, overcoming cognitive distortions, etc. The course will introduce students to the concept of critical thinking as a concept of thinking as a concept. The introductory course will give students an idea of thinking as a process of human cognition, which consists in comprehension of scientific truth, the most general methods of cognition and work with almost any material, will allow students to learn to think more accurately, consistently, systematically.
