Course Syllabus

Abstract

The main language of realization of the discipline is Chinesе. This course is designed for undergraduates to deepen their knowledge of the realities of contemporary China through the Chinese language, verbal and non-verbal communications. Students will study contemporary lexical units, features of spoken and written language used in media, social media and business communication. Through the analysis of current podcasts, posts, films and interviews, students will have the opportunity to explore changes in Chinese social and cultural life. This will enable students to build a comprehensive understanding of how language reflects and shapes contemporary processes in China and record your promo in Chinese.

  • • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the essence and system of verbal and non-verbal communication in Chinese in the field of professional and business communication. • Deepen master's students' knowledge of the realities of modern China through the study of the specifics of verbal and non-verbal communication strategies in Chinese society. • Master modern lexical units and idioms actively used in the business environment, media, social networks, etc. • Develop applied communication skills – preparing and recording a video promo, as well as writing a CV in Chinese that meets modern standards and expectations. • Develop skills for solving communication tasks in various business communication situations using verbal and non-verbal communication methods.

  • To possess skills of Solving communication tasks using non-verbal language in situations of tea ceremony, in Chinese restaurant, in European restaurant, and at a buffet.
  • To possess skills of Solving communication tasks using non-verbal language in situations of business trip and checking into a hotel, choosing gifts and gift-giving etiquette.
