Abstract
This research seminar aims to familiarize students with relevant approaches and practices for producing applied policy analyses in International Relations and public policy. The course considers strategies for producing various analytical documents such as background papers, reports, policy briefs, and policy papers, with attention to structure and evidence-based reasoning. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, source evaluation, and producing analyses that are balanced and objective. Students will also develop professional communication and presentation skills, learning to convey complex findings clearly and concisely. By the end of the course, students will be able to produce well-structured, policy-relevant analyses that are evidence-based and useful for policy-making.
