Abstract

This program’s general aim is to provide students with the knowledge of the main concepts ant theories of economic and political development of Vietnam. Particular emphasis is placed on the consideration of the economy through an analysis of its dynamics. In this course, students acquire necessary skills to apply machine learning techniques for economic data analysis, including the application of diffusion models and random forest for predicting, analyzing and modeling economic and political processes using the example of Vietnam. The program also focuses on the influence of political institutions reforms on the economic development of the state.

Learning Objectives

Demonstrate knowledge of methods of analysis of the main sectors of the country's economy
Apply and interactively explore the main sectors of the national and regional economy
Able to use professional political and economic vocabulary for the explanation of the problems of the development Vietnam.

Expected Learning Outcomes

Student will be able to apply technical, technological and technical research skills to organize and interpret discipline knowledge, including theory and practice, to investigate business issues.
Student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant research principles and methods on the topic of the development of policy and economy of Vietnam.
Student will be able to implicate knowledge of foreign policy relations to analyze the role of state regulation on the economic development.
Student will be able to use information literacy skills and communicate effectively and professionally in written forms.
Student will be able to use knowledge to analyze and predict the success of economic transformations on the cases of selected regions of Vietnam.

The assignment is a homework, which consists of two questions to be answered in the form of essays (max 1 page each).

The final exam is mandatory for all course participants.
