Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course "History of International Relations" provides a systemic analysis of major international processes in the new and modern periods. The main focus is on the logic and patterns of Russian foreign policy in the context of the world system of international relations development. The course is interdisciplinary and is based on methods and concepts of history, political science and sociology. The course gives a comprehensive understanding of Russian and Soviet diplomacy. It also introduces the major methods of forecasting the possible development of Russia's foreign policy in the short and medium term perspective.
