About

This is the first monograph in Russia reflecting the housing problems of a large group of residents. In Russia there are 20–30 million tenants (“lessee” according to the Housing Code of Russia). The book deals with a variety of categories of rentals: municipal, social, private, and tenement houses. The typical problems of this community and the special features of property and rental contracts in homeowners associations are shown, as well as the experience of tenants and organizations representing their rights in Baltic, the Czech Republic, Canada, Britain, Sweden, and other countries. A special section is devoted to etiquette fests, and education in housing and rentals.

For a wide group of readers: tenants, homeowners, the housing sector professionals, municipal staff, managers of homeowners associations, and residents who concern for the better. The book will be useful to students of the Department of Public Administration, as well as lawyers, political scientists, managers, and anyone who deals with social and housing policies.
