The book contains a generalized analysis of economic theory as instrument for the study of history. The originality of the research approach of the author is that the method of the economic theory in the field of history is applied not only to economic history, but also to history of all spheres of public life. The main idea is that the consecutive application of assumptions of rationality to history leads to the provision under which comparative possession of power resources is the main transmission link between self-interest and actions of rational individuals and groups. The influence of this approach on the formation of hypotheses and predictions which can be developed on its basis within the historical and economic research is shown.
